  1. Thanks for the review. I’m curious, though, where you see Ladd’s eschatology being “very influential in NT scholarship.” Do you have any examples? In my estimation and experience, his influence has been limited to evangelicalism.

    • Thanks Daniel for your comment. I can see that I may have overstated my case. But, I think I may have also shown that while evangelicals tend to be exclude others based on their rigid understanding of inerrancy and other issues, more mainline and liberal scholarship likewise ignores evangelical scholarship. In no way am I insinuating that you—or Baird for that matter—are guilty of this. I just wanted to note Baird’s bias in this matter is all. I do think though that Ladd has a wider appeal than just evangelicalism. I have seen reference to his NTT in a number of works. Thanks again for your comment and helping me think through this.
