Hebrews 4.14-16

I have been reading and thinking through this marvelous sermon (written by Apollos), and as always I have been greatly blessed by the Lord through His word. I just wanted to post here some of my favorite verses in Hebrews.

Hebrews 4.14-16

14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

  1. I get the feeling you want to highlight your belief that Hebrews was written by Apollos. Care to explain why? And why does determining the author matter to the study of the book? And is it reasonable to make such a certain statement about something that really is undeterminable? You know I always have to be the adversary. 🙂
